Encased in the shadows of midnight,
A lone figure pierces the sky.
He stands upon his perch up high
And makes his statement in a brilliant white.
Surrounded by petite and shining friends,
He looks out across his land,
Observing with a silent hand,
That the beauty of the night shall end.
He starts his descent to the earth,
Making way for a shining brother.
As the sublimity of the night is smothered,
The horizon reveals an invading birth.
And now that he is out of view,
The world forgets the nightfall true.
